'Jailer' box office collection on day 15: Rajinikanth's film holds its screens well for the third week

'Jailer', featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role, has been enjoying a box office rampage for over two weeks, and the film entered its third week on August 24. Despite new releases, 'Jailer' has held onto most of the screens for the third week in Tamil Nadu and overall as well. The latest update on the film's box office collection at the end of day 15 is that the Rajinikanth starrer has reportedly grossed over Rs 540 crores worldwide and is expected to break the 550 crore mark before the end of its third week.
In Tamil Nadu, 'Jailer' has reportedly grossed over Rs 140 crores, and the film has emerged as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films in the home state.The domestic collection of 'Jailer' is estimated to be around Rs 302 crores, and the film has already broken several records at the box office. Even though the occupancy for 'Jailer' seemed low on weekdays, the action drama is expected to perform well during the weekend. However, let's wait to see whether 'Jailer' sets a record in Tamil Nadu by becoming the highest-grosser in the state.
Directed by Nelson, 'Jailer' features Rajinikanth in the lead role, with Vinayakan, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Mirna, and Redin Kingsley among others in crucial roles. Anirudh Ravichander scored the music, while the cinematography was done by Vijay Kartik Kannan.
