‘96’ trailer: Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s film promises fresh love story

Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan are coming together for a travelogue film ‘96’, which is being helmed by cinematographer C Prem Kumar of ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’ fame. After impressing the audience with the teaser, the makers have now unveiled the theatrical trailer of ‘96’, which is currently doing the rounds online.
Going by the trailer, ‘96’ seems to focus on the love story between Ram and Jenny, played by Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan respectively.The film traces their romance from the highschool days and promises a fresh love story. Apart from the visuals, the major highlight of ‘96’ is the music composed by Govind Menon, whose ‘Kadhale Kadhale’ song has already gotten fantastic response from the audience. If the trailer is anything to go by, ‘96’ is very likely to woo the audience.
Basking in the success of her Malayalam debut ‘Hey Jude’, ‘96’ marks Trisha’s first film with Vijay Sethupathi. Produced by Madras Enterprises, the film also stars Janagaraj, S Janaki, Kaali Venkat and Aadukalam Murugadoss in important roles. Govind Menon is scoring the music for the film. According to reports, ‘96’ is being planned for a release on September 13.
