Abhirami Venkatachalam warns her subscribers
Abhirami wrote on her Instagram story, "Dear subscribers, I sincerely thank all those who support me with love. I started this for posting unique artistic shots of mine, which generally I have never posted or experimented before. If anyone here is expecting me to stand naked just because of the subscription, you are most welcome to unsubscribe. Telling me what to post is not what I am here for. I am here to share my creativity. People who look at it aesthetically are most welcome to share their thoughts. This is not a porn site."
Abhirami Venkatachalam on body shaming
Meanwhile, in a 2023 interview with She The People website, Abhirami had opened up about the body shaming she faced in the past.
She said, "Initially, I didn't mind the online trolling because I was following the rules, staying indoors, watching Netflix, and obviously, anyone would gain weight. But every time I got a work call, all people would ask me was about my weight, as if my talent didn’t matter at all. This went on for a very long time, and gradually it took a toll on my emotional health, and I spiralled down into depression. I’m a strong woman, but this completely broke me, and I began avoiding going out, attending phone calls, and even stepping out of my room."
The actress added, "I used to stand in front of the mirror and cry, and I even contemplated changing my career. But my mother and brother were very supportive of me and said that I’m beautiful the way I am and should lose weight only if I wanted to and not because people are trolling. So, I started working out only when I felt like it. I stopped taking the trolling to heart because that only took a toll on my physical and mental health. It’s just wasting my time and energy, so let them just bark."
Regarding her work, Abhirami was last seen in the 2023 film 'Vaan Moondru' and she has the most awaited and long delayed film 'Dhruva Natchathiram' in the pipeline. Also See:
