After the film’s release, Rajinikanth praised Parthiban and AR Rahman for a masterpiece. Now, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin praises Parthiban for ‘Iravin Nizhal’ after watching the film in a private screening. Sharing an image with Parthiban, the state chief minister expressed his view through a tweet. He said, “Unique in everything – that’s @rparthiepan! A single-shot film after #Otha Seruppu! #IravinNizhal – the technical skills used in the film, the heights of using technology in a Tamil film! Congratulations to him for showing himself as a technology senior using his nonlinear single shot film.”

‘Iravin Nizhal’ was also released in English at the Cannes International Festival with the title ‘Shadow of Night’. The movie received much praise and was critically acclaimed for doing its best as an experimental film. The movie’s story revolves around a 50-year-old man who reminisces about the life decisions he had taken over the years.
