Ajith's 'Valimai' postponed; makers reject a 300 crore direct OTT deal

Ajith's 'Valimai' was supposed to hit the screens during Pongal on January 13, accordingly, the makers were building a great buzz ahead of the film's release. But the pandemic situation and increase in corona number of cases, have resulted in the postponement of the film release. Now, the latest report suggests that Ajith's 'Valimai' has rejected a 300 crore direct OTT deal
Ajith's 'Valimai' was offered a 300 crore deal to release the film directly on a popular OTT platform.However, the makers turned down the deal since the film is made for the audience to enjoy on big screens, and they feel that the film's expectations will never go down due to the delay.
H Vinoth's directorial 'Valimai' features Ajith as a cop, and the film is loaded with action and racing sequences. Kartikeya will be battling against Ajith in the film, and it also has Huma Qureshi, Yogi Babu, Sumithra, Pugazh, Raj Ayyappa, and several others. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored music for songs, while the background music is reportedly scored by Ghibhran.

Meanwhile, Ajith will be commencing the work for his 61st film soon, and he is reportedly teaming up with H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor for the third continuous time.
