Earlier in February, it was announced that ace filmmaker
Shankar will be directing Telugu actor
Ram Charan for a big project, which will be a pan-Indian film. Though the project is yet to kick start due to the pandemic situation and also becasue of the issues surrounding director Shankar completing Kamal Haasan-starrer 'Indian 2', there has been lot of buzz about the film starring Ram Charan.
While it was earlier reported that South Korean actress Suzy Bae, who was earlier reported to be considered for a role to be played alongside Kamal Haasan in 'Indian 2', is said to be in talks for playing the female lead, the latest is that, Bollywood actress
Alia Bhatt might be roped in to play the female lead.
Reports are that Ram Charan is said to have recommended Alia Bhatt for his new magnum opus with director Shankar after being impressed with the working style of Alia Bhatt in 'RRR' directed by SS Rajamouli.
The film will be produced by
Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Interestingly, this is the first time Shankar will be directing a Telugu hero. The film will be shot and released in several languages, catering to a pan-India audience.
