Anurag Kashyap in love with Kollywood

Director Anurag Kashyap of Dev D and That Girl in Yellow Boots fame, has fond memories of the city of Chennai ��� coming down to write for Mani Ratnam and to supervise actor Vikram���s dubbing for Manoj Bajpai���s character Bhiku Mhatre in the Tamil and Telugu versions of Satya, for which Anurag wrote the screenplay.
Apart from the films, Anurag has other strong South Indian connections as well ��� his wife Kalki, a native of Puducherry, being on the top of the list.The funnyman that he is, Anurag regales us with a not-so-often told tale. ���My friends ask me, ���What did Kalki see in you?��� And I tell them, ���Well, Kalki grew up in a fishing village in Tamil Nadu.
My Tamil is as good as that of a Tamil fisherman���s. And I guess I look like Sarath Kumar (the Kollywood actor). That must be the combination she fell for,��� he laughs off with a smile as he tells us that the shooting for Bombay Velvet, his collaborative period piece with Danny Boyle will go on the floors in September 2012.
