Notable supporting actor Mohan, who starred in
Kamal Haasan's 'Apoorva Sagotharargal', was found dead in the Thiruparankundram area of Madurai. The reason behind his death was his miserable financial condition. Chinnu hails from Mettur, Salem district, and his youngest son is
Mohan (60). He used to act as a supporting actor in Tamil movies. He played one of Kamal Haasan's friends in the 1989 film 'Apoorva Sagotharargal'.
He has also acted in many movies, including the Arya starrer 'Naan Kadavul', 'Athisaya Manithargal', and others. After leaving his native country, Mohan moved to Thiruparangunram in Madurai a few years ago and did not get any film opportunities. It is reported that he used to beg on the big chariot road due to poverty there.
On July 31, Mohan was found dead on the street, and the Thiruparankundram police, who came to know about this, recovered the actor's mortal remains and sent them to the Madurai Government Hospital for post-mortem. Police officials have also sent a piece of information to his family members in Salem, and his mortal remains were sent to his native country after the post-mortem. Mohan reportedly has two brothers and three sisters, but all have been living in their native town of Salem.
Earlier, Tamil actor
Prabhu, who was popular for his supporting roles, died in a government hospital, and he was in a destitute condition. Composer D. Imman performed the last rites of the destitute actor to give him a peaceful send-off. The second death in a destitute condition has shocked Kollywood fans, and they wish to see Nadigar Sangam take action to prevent their stars from suffering due to poverty.
