We have heard of artists of yore who were so consumed by their work that they often sacrificed their physical well-being for the sake of art. A living example of this is the team of Vasanthabalans Aravaan.Pasupathy, who plays a crucial role in the film, informed that its art director
Vijay Murugan put in so much effort to recreate the period in which the film is set (8th century) that he even suffered a stroke.
While almost every member of the team had a life-threatening experience on location (which involved shooting on steep hills), it was almost a near-death experience for our art director. The stress caused by the shoot was one of the reasons for a mild stroke that he suffered. But still, he did not want to leave us or get some rest. He came back almost immediately to the sets to do his part, said Pasupathy.
We learnt even one of the films editors on the project, Praveen, who was editing the scenes on location at times, had a close shave on the sets.
Well, lets hope the dedicated efforts of this team pay off.
