The state government had not given permission initially, to screen special shows for both
Vijay's 'Bigil' and Karthi's 'Kaithi', scheduled to be released for Diwali. Minister of Information and Publicity Kadambur Raju had earlier clarified that the early morning special shows of 'Bigil' will be cancelled and has even ordered theatre owners to refund the ticket amount to the viewers.
But at the last moment the higher authorities have relented and given a green signal to 'Bigil'.
