Ayngaran snaps overseas rights of 'Valai'
The overseas rights of the Ajith, Arya, Nayanthara and Tapsee starrer which is tentatively titled 'Valai' has been snapped up by London-based Ayngaran International. While the theatrical rights of the film in India is still with producer AM Ratnam, the audio rights are with Sony Music.Malaysia, Singapore, the UK, the US and Canada, are the biggest markets for Tamil films overseas and Ayngaran International is is one of the market leaders for overseas Tamil film distribution. Ajith plays a dashing officer in the cyber crime department of the country in the film. The actor had shot some spectacular action sequences during the Duabi schedule in a Ducat bike and also a boat chasing sequence.With a library of over 1,500 films, Ayngaran has distributed some of the Tamil movie industry's big banner films which include Sivaji, Chandramukhi, Gilli, Alaipayuthey and Billa 2007.The film directed by Vishnuvardhan is expected to be wrapped up later next month and is said to be in the last stages of shooting. Music is by Yuvan and Producer A M Ratnam has said that the film is likely to hit the screens in June or July depending on post-production.
