Bell Bottom’s Tamil remake has Krishna and Mahima

Kannada hit film Bell Bottom is being remade in Tamil is known to many. While Sathyasiva is helming the project, not many details regarding the cast were revealed, till now. We have now learnt from the director that Krishna and Mahima Nambiar are part of the film. Says Sathyasiva, “Since I found the film gripping, I decided to remake it in Tamil. It is set in the 1980s and its concept is quite different. Rishab Shetty had played the lead role in the Kannada movie. I decided to cast Krishna, as he looks a bit like him and would fit in the role of a ‘wannabe’ detective. He plays a cop, who takes up one of the biggest cases to investigate in order to establish him as a spy. But that investigation leads him to several other mysteries. Mahima plays the female lead and she has a powerful role. She plays someone who is involved in selling illegal liquor. Saravanan plays a pivotal role along with actor Shivamani, who was also part of the Kannada original.”The team has already finished the film’s shooting and the post-production work is going on. Having directed Krishna in Kazhugu and Kazhugu 2, Sathyasiva says that it was a breeze working with him in this film. “I have worked with him twice. So, it made sense to cast Krishna again for this film as I know his acting capabilities. It is always a pleasure to work with him,” says the director.The film’s music is by Sam CS. “We are planning to release the first look of the film by next week,” informs the director.
