The much-anticipated sequel to
Bharath's 'Kaalidas' (2019), 'Kaalidas 2,' will now release a week earlier than previously announced. The makers revealed through a new poster that the crime thriller will hit theatres on April 3, instead of April 10. Interestingly, the film was initially scheduled for April 3 before it changed its date to avoid a clash with Prandeep Ranganathan's 'LIK'.
Legend Saravanan's 'Leader' was also pushed to April 9 after the release announcement of 'LIK'. As announced by the respective makers, both films have again advanced to April 3 because 'LIK' has pushed its release date.
'LIK' postponement adds space for 'Kaalidas 2'
'Kaalidas 2' stars Bharath and Ajay Karthi in lead roles, with Sri Senthil returning as director. The sequel marks Sangita Madhavan's return to Tamil cinema after 26 years; her last Tamil film was 'Kann Thirandhu Paaramma' (2000). Supporting actors include Prakash Raj, Kishore, Suresh Menon, Anant Nag, Bhavani Sre, Raja Ravindra, Abarnathi, Singam Jayavel, and DM Karthik.
The film’s release date advancement comes after
Vignesh Shivan’s 'LIK' postponed its April 3 release, which now gives 'Kaalidas 2' a clear slot. The movie promises an investigative thriller experience similar to its predecessor.
The film’s music is composed by Sam CS, with cinematography by Suresh Bala and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan.
Legend Saravanan's 'Leader' plot and team
Director R.S. Durai Senthilkumar’s action drama 'Leader,' starring Legend Saravanan, will now release worldwide on April 3, a week earlier than the original April 9 date. The story pertains to the life of an average guy, Sakthivel, who struggles with the cops and the criminals. The teaser depicts a dramatic narrative of a father having difficulties living with his teenage daughter, but also shows action scenes. It stars Payal Rajput along with Shaam, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Lal, Amritha Aiyer, and VTV Ganesh.
'Kaalidas 2' and 'Leader' release excite fans
