Bombay Jayashri fails to win an Oscar

Life of Pi seems to have bagged many awards in is kitty. The film bagged 4 awards at the 85th Academy Awards that took place earlier today. The movie, which happens to be a movie adaptation of Yann Martel���s novel, was shot extensively in and around Pondicherry.
While the director of the film, Ang Lee won the award for the Best Director, the award for the Best Original Song, which would have fetched an Oscar for Bombay Jayashri, unfortunately slipped away from her hands.The award instead went to the Skyfall singer Adele, who sang the title track for the film. But the film���s music director Mychael Danna took home the award for Best Original Score.
