Buzz: Director Sri Ganesh to direct Ajith soon

Director Sri Ganesh made his debut with the film ‘8 Thottakkal’ in 2017. His second film ‘Kuruthu Aattam’ featuring Atharvaa in the lead role was released on August 5. The film was initially announced in 2018 but was delayed for many years and also faced a few troubles with its release. The movie has a lot of references to actor Ajith Kumar which in turn has created a new buzz in Kollywood that the director is looking forward to collaborating with the ace actor for a feature film.
According to news reports, speculations have raised that director Sri Ganesh will soon be directing Ajith for his next film. Sri Ganesh is a former associate of director ‘Mysskin’. Though ‘Kuruthi Aattam’ did not mark a big hit at the box office, his previous film ‘8 Thottakkal’ is a sleeper hit and is still spoken by many in Tamil cinema.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajith was last seen in ‘Valimai’ and is now shooting for his tentatively titled ‘AK 61’ by H Vinoth which has Manju Warrier as the female lead. The movie is eyeing for a release this year-end or early next year. After ‘AK 61’, Ajith has signed up for his next film ‘AK 62’ with director Vignesh Shivan. It was also recently reported that the actor is in consideration for a film with directors Pushkar and Gayathri.
