After organising a grand audio launch of ‘
Kaala’ on Wednesday,
Dhanush left for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, where his first international project ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’ will be screened. Ahead of the screening, Dhanush was clicked spending some quality time with his colleagues.
An elated Dhanush shared the photos on Twitter and the pictures have gone viral among fans on social media. Interestingly, this is Dhanush’s debut appearance at Cannes, where other Indian films like ‘Manto’, directed by
Nandita Das, will be screened. The festival takes place between May 8 and May 19.
Directed by Ken Scott, the film is inspired by the famous novel, 'The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe', which was released in 2014. It also stars Bérénice Bejo, Barkhad Abdi and Erin Moriarty in prominent roles. Touted to be an adventure film, ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’ is expected to hit the screens on May 30.
