For actress Priya Anand, whos lived most of her life in the US, her fondest memories are associated with her trips to Chennai. Coming home to my grandparents during vacations were one of the things I used to look forward to then. I used to take a long walk on the beach, eat spicy sundal and spend time chatting with them, she begins, Im crazy about films and Ive seen most of my favourite movies, including the evergreen
Agni Natchathiram, in the city.
Its a different experience watching Tamil films with Tamil-speaking audience.
Having lived abroad during her teenage years, quiz Priya if it was as a cultural shock when she shifted base here, and she says, Id spent so much of time here that I always knew I wanted to come back for good. The USP of the city is its art and culture. Chennai is a metropolitan city in its truest sense though we are aware of western trends, we never let go of our culture.
Wishing Chennai Times on its fourth anniversary, Priya says, CT has always welcomed me for what I am. They have taken interest in me as an actor, supported the causes I advocate and have honestly portrayed me as a person. I wish CT rocks as it has always and keeps going strong.
