There have been daily updates on the health status of legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam since the day the news of him getting admitted in hospital was out. His son SP Charan gives update through short videos amidst rumours on
SPB’s health refuse to slow down on social media. The other day, there were reports that he tested negative for coronavirus. But Charan came up with a clarification that regardless of positive or negative, his father continues to rely on life support.
Singer Chinmayi took to her Twitter account to ask netizens and fans of the singer to stop spreading rumour on his health. She feels it’s unfair that his family often has to refute rumours doing the rounds and that people should give them their space.
She tweeted, “It is really sad that SPB sir’s family needs to counter rumours at this time. Can everyone just give them space? Keep SPB sir in your prayers; we all love him. But keep the rumours to yourself. Please dont give the family clarification tasks. Thanks.”
The young singer also lent support to those students and others who are requesting the government to postpone JEE and
NEET exams. At a time people are dealing with crisis like corona, flood and mental health, she feels it is better the authorities postpone the exams. Chinmayi tweeted, “A pandemic we’re battling; floods. Mental heath overall has been tough for everyone. Financial distress. And demand to sit for exams. I mean… #PostponeJEE_NEETinCOVID.”
