The film is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, who impressed audiences with 'Amaran.' As reported by Cinema Vikatan, the team of 'D55' is preparing to resume shooting in the coming days after a short break. Earlier schedules were shot across Chennai and Chengalpattu. The makers also erected a massive temple festival set in a village location near Chennai for important scenes in the film. Dhanush will soon join the new schedule, where a special song sequence featuring actress Sreeleela will also be filmed. The previous schedule already included important scenes featuring Dhanush and veteran actor Mammootty together.
