Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, it was expected that the film will be titled 'Suruli', which is the name of Dhanush's character in the film, but the team surprised fans with a distinct name. Now, Dhanush has shared a new poster from 'Jagame Thanthiram' and stated, "#Suruli He is coming soon".

The latest poster shared by Dhanush hints that the teaser of the film will be released soon, possibly this weekend. 'Jagame Thanthiram' features Dhanush (Suruli) as a Madurai based gangster, who goes to London for unfinished business. The post-production work for the film is going steadily, and it is scheduled to hit the screens on May 1.
The teaser of Jayam Ravi's 'Bhoomi', the other film, which is expected to release on the same date, was released yesterday and is earning good appreciation from the audience.
