G V Prakash on a Chinese trail
Music composer G V Prakash is just back from a trip to China where he was working on tunes for Muppozhudhum Un Karpanai (MUK), starring Atharva in the lead.
It was a fun-filled trip, he tells CT, I went from Hong Kong to Macau in a ferry and came back in a chopper!
The composer says that at one of the hotels there, the entire second floor of a hotel was recreated as Venice.

In fact, they even had an artificial sky! We spent a lot of time there, he says.
Among other things, GV picked up a special dress that he plans to wear for the audio launch of his Aadukalam, which is expected to be released soon.
So, what about the music of MUK? Well, Ive come up with three songs for the Ganesh Vinayak-directed flick. Though Ive done music in several genres in my recent films, the tunes in this one are purely aimed at the youth and the college crowd. I hope it rocks!
What about criticism that music composers are a pampered lot? The China trip was the producers idea. Id be happy sitting in my Chennai studio and composing the songs.
