Ganesh in the Hindi remake of Polladhavan

Vetri Maaran���s Polladhavan is being remade in Hindi as Guns Of Benares by Shekar Suri. While Karan Nath will step into the shoes of Dhanush, Ganesh Venkataraman will play the role portrayed by Daniel Balaji. Ganesh says, ���The entire film is set in Benaras.My character sports a mean look, replete with rugged beard and a tattoo of an aghori babaon his arms. I went to Benaras two weeks in advance to pick up the UP lingo.���Talking about the cast and crew, he says, ���Nathalia Kaur is playing the female lead while Vinod Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh and Shilpa Shirodkar are playing importantroles. The action sequences, choreographed by Shyam Kaushal (of Gangs Of Wasseypur fame), will be the highlight.���While Sohail Sen will be composing the songs, the team is in talks with GV Prakash, who was the music director for the original, for the background score.
