Director
Gautham Menon is busy with his films, and he is next set to deliver 'Vendhu Thanidhathu Kaadu' starring Silambarasan in the lead role. The director turned actor is also doing crucial roles in popular movies and is impressing the masses with his acting skills too. In a recent interview, Gautham Menon revealed a phone call from director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Gautham Menon was offered to play a role in his last directorial '
Vikram' starring Kamal Haasan.
But he couldn't do it because of his prior commitments.
Lokesh Kanagaraj once again approached Gautham Menon to play a role in his upcoming film, and this time the director turned actor accepted the junior's call.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is next set to direct
Vijay's 67th film, which is tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 67', but the film is yet to be launched officially and it's expected to be made in October. Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently working on the film's pre-production, and the director has planned to make it a Pan-Indian action drama with stars across the industries.
Sanjay Dutt,
Prithviraj Sukumaran, Trisha, Samantha, and Arjun Sarja are also said to be playing a role in 'Thalapathy 67', but all stand as a report as their official confirmation is not yet made.
It is worth mentioning that Gautham Menon was supposed to direct a film featuring Vijay in 2011, but the film got shelved after the initial photo shoot due to the creative difference between the actor and director. Now, Gautham Menon sharing screen space with Vijay might have a chance of the duo uniting for a film as the former awaits to do a film with the latter.
