Director Thirukumaran is excited that his film with Sivakarthikeyan and Hansika, Maan Karate, is shaping up well. Hes finished the first schedule of the film in Chennai, and is gearing up to begin the next from August 12. Thiru says, The term
maan karate is a very north Madras lingo. When someone finds himself surrounded by a bunch of rowdies, he uses the term maan karate aayidu.
While many think its about using some karate techniques, he will actually be telling his friends to escape from the place. The film will be an entertaining story about a person who lands in sticky situations.
While Sivakarthikeyan plays an irresponsible youngster, Hansika plays a bubbly sports enthusiast. She plays the daughter of a Tamil professor, and you can find her at every place where a sports competition is taking place. But of course, she is not a participant at the event; shes merely a spectator. She finds it satisfying to sit in the stadium with the audience and whistle and cheer for the players, the director laughs.
So, how is Hansika and Sivakarthikeyans chemistry working out onscreen? Its a fresh jodi and they have already started shooting their combination scenes, he informs.
