Heroine files complaint against husband

Veteran actress Rati Agnihotri who had shared the screen space with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, has filed a police complaint against her husband, Anil Virmani, for harassment and torture. It is being reported that Rathi alleged that her husband had been torturing her both mentally and physically over the past several months.
Reports suggests that, though the couple has been married for so many years, the harassment has started after Rati's husband suffered losses in business. The domestic discord reached a new high with her husband inflicting injuries on her hand; following which she filed a police complaint.
Rati Agnihotri, made her debut in director Bharathiraja's 'Puthiya Vaarpugal' opposite K Bhagyaraj. After starring in numerous films along side Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, she made her foray into the Hindi film industry with award winning-block buster movie ���Ek Duje ke Liye��� in 1981.
