I am a little scared of people who wear the khaki: Dinesh
Actor Dinesh says that the movie Visaaranai has changed his life forever and that this has been the most challenging film he has ever done. Even today, I suddenly wake up at 1am, and it takes me a while to go back to sleep. We even had yoga sessions for a month after completing the film. It took me a lot to finish the movie. In fact I would hesitate to go for dubbing because it would haunt me, begins Dinesh, who is now awaiting the release of the film on February 5.

He says that the movie, which is directed by Vetri Maaran will create a lot of anger amongst the audience. The fact that this is based on a real-life story is very disturbing. People will tend to get angry that such things happen in the country and that they cant do anything about it. What is even more disturbing is that such things continue to happen, even in my village. In fact, these days, I am a little scared of people who wear the khaki, confesses the actor.
Attending the premiere of the film at the 72nd Venice Film Festival was a different experience for the cast and crew, says Dinesh. The writer, Chandra Kumar, cried after the movie screening. The theatre had 1,500 people and they all took something back with them. In the evening, when we were at an Indian restaurant, two girls came and greeted us addressing us by the names of the characters we played in the movie. That shocked me, says Dinesh who has taken back some life lessons, too. I have learnt to be more patient. I have also learnt that I should respect people who respect me. Vetri Maaran, too, has become more patient and I have learnt a lot from him in this journey, concludes Dinesh.
