I am almost out on the streets: Ramesh

The director alleges that Veerappans wife is now behind money and not safety
I am almost out on the streets: Ramesh
Director AMR Rameshs Vana Yuddham might have managed to release successfully but the directors woes continue. The Supreme Court has ordered him to pay 25 lakh to forest brigand Veerappans wife, Muthulakshmi.
Why is it that its always the filmmaker whose freedom of expression gets curbed? Ive spoken with people related to Veerappan, his close friends and eye witnesses, have interviews from his associates and also have government documents that are available in the public domain to validate my story.

So, how am I in the wrong? he asks.
Ramesh says that Muthulakshmi approached the court, asking for a sum of 1.5 crore and 60 lakh for every language he released the film in. He explains, Ive pledged my house and Im almost out on the streets now. How can anyone arrange for 25 lakh in a day? Ill be asking my friends to help me get this huge sum. Im not challenging the Supreme Courts order, but Im appalled how the issue has moved to money from safety for Muthulakshmi.
He continues, I met with Muthulakshmi before starting work on the film and told her the basic premise. Later, she wanted 32 cuts and I obliged. She had, at that time, said that she was worried about her and her childrens safety. Later, the Censor Board and the court gave my film a clean chit. She raised an objection even after that and only after the court insisted, she watched the film. Shes forgotten all about safety and is now behind money.
