I call Jai rockstar: Raai Laxmi

For Raai Laxmi, Neeya 2 is special because it reunites her with her Vaamanan co-star, Jai. Talking about their relationship, the actress says, “We did that film almost 10 years ago and it is still fresh in my memory. While I’d done an important role in that film, Jai’s my pair in this one. The first time we met, we only talked in flashbacks. I call him ‘Rockstar’, and he calls me ‘Miss World’.I was surprised that he had some old pictures of ours from those days on his phone. I think more than as just actors, we share a good friendship. We have a common group of friends and we’ve been in touch. He’s the sweetest co-star to work with.”
Interestingly, Laxmi and Varalaxmi, who plays another lead, have also been getting along like a house on fire. “I’ve known of Varalaxmi since a long time, and I was super excited to meet her in the Kodaikanal schedule. She is like a box of entertainment. When we met for the first time on the spot, the entire set was quiet and listening to us talk. Normally, there’s a perception that heroines only fight, but we were chattering non-stop. When you know people you are working with, you can improvise so much,” she adds.
