Actor Veera, who is hopeful of his upcoming
Tamil film Arasiyalla Ithellam Satharanamappa doing well at the box office, says that a hero should have commercial appeal to make people approach him for varied kinds of projects.
“It’s true that I take a lot of time between my films. I could say that I was waiting for the right scripts, but the fact is that, in today’s scenario, it is difficult to get a good producer, director and other factors together. After Arasiyalla Ithellam Satharanamappa, I will be doing the sequel to Rajathanthiram (his hit 2015 film),” he says.
Having made his debut with Gautham Menon’s psycho thriller Nadunisi Naaygal,
Veera adds that he would like to do another dark film. “Every actor has a special liking for a certain genre. I like movies that are dark. They need not necessarily be stories of a psychopath or a hitman, but could be something bizarre or unique. I don’t see unusual characters on a daily basis. So, I have a penchant for movies which deal with such characters and situations,” he adds.
