Kaala Synopsis: Kaala is a 2018 Tamil movie of political gangster genre set in Dharavi, Mumbai. It is an action film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films. Starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, the film was announced in 2016 and was on 7 June 2018.The film was earlier scheduled to be released on 27 April 2018 but was postponed to June due to the standoff between Nadigar Sangam and Digital Service Providers on the increase of Virtual Print Fee charges along with the 2018 Tamil Nadu protests for Kaveri water sharing issue which also led to the delay in release of other Tamil films. Shooting of this film started on the 28 May 2017 at Mumbai and the lead actor Rajinikanth participated in this first schedule. Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, the team had taken a break and erected a set at Chennai with Mumbai as its backdrop.

Kaala Story: Kaala who runs away from Tirunelveli in his childhood, moves to Mumbai where he becomes a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi.
Kaala Movie Review {3.5/5}: The confrontational scenes between Rajinikanth and Nana Patekar, in particular, are terrific to watch and are bound to be a huge hit with the fans. Eeshwari Rao (As Kaala's wife) and Anjali Patil (As Kaala's son's girflriend), also put in noteworthy performances. Ranjith is in great form as a director and strikes a wonderful balance between feeding the appetite of Rajinikanth fans, as well as making a visually appealing and engaging film. With a top notch technical team and the superstar himself to take it through, Kaala is a treat for fans.
