Rumour mills were abuzz with the news that the Telugu film ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ was likely to remade in Tamil. Reports also suggested that senior producer Kalaipuli S Thanu had bought the remake rights and was planning to rope in
Dhanush to play the lead role. However, Kalaipuli S Thanu has rubbished the rumours and clarified that he’s not remaking the film in Tamil.
Thanu is one of the prominent names in the industry and has produced several blockbusters including Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Kabali’.
Earlier this year, Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations distributed the Vikram-starrer ‘Sketch’. On the other hand, Dhanush is presently busy with back-to-back projects such as ‘Maari 2’, ‘Enai Noki Paayum Thotta’ and ‘Vada Chennai’ among others. The actor will be making his Hollywood debut with ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’.
‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’, which deals with the education system, has opened to a favourable response from the critics and audience alike. The film, directed by debutant Udugula Venu, is being lauded for its novelty.
