The Malayalam film 'Manjummel Boys', after its release in theatres on February 22, has been critically acclaimed, and the film is performing exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu. Following 'Premam', it is 'Manjummel Boys' that has a successful opening in Tamil Nadu, and the movie has made more than Rs 15 crore here. The film is a suspense thriller based on a real-life incident that happened in Guna Caves, Kodaikanal, in 2006.

The movie cast and crew met actor Kamal Haasan and director Santhana Bharathi, who created the film 'Guna'. Psychological romance drama is all over the news again as the masterpiece of the film, the song Kanmani Anbodu Kaadhalan, composed by Ilaiyaraaja, found a new meaning through 'Manjummel Boys'.

The photos from the meet of the 'Manjummel Boys' cast and crew with Kamal Haasan went viral on social media, and now a video that is 8 minutes long showcasing their meet has been shared on social media. The interaction of the veteran actor with the Mollywood team gave away the connection between the films 'Guna', 'Manjummel Boys', and 'Hey Ram'.

Actor Kamal Haasan, noting the scene from 'Manjummel Boys' where they find the monkey's skull, said that it was a story about a monkey that fell into the pit and was not able to get out of it. The actor said that while shooting for his film 'Guna' in the cave, he found three different skulls of monkeys, and he had used the same in his film 'Hey Ram'.
