Kamal Haasan to go on tour across TN

Actor Kamal Haasan, who is turning 63 today, met the press to make a few announcements. One of the most important announcements was that he will be going on a tour across Tamil Nadu to understand people's problems before officially launching his party.
"I have an idea to travel across the state and find out the problems of the people and also find myself," said Kamal Haasan.
Announcing the launch of an app, Kamal said, "I do not want to be to the left or the right, and be at the centre, which is why I have named it Maiam Whistle.It is an app through which you can make your complaints and we will address the problems."
Talking about the app, "The product is being beta tested. About 20-25 people are involved in it. Hopefully, we will be able to bring it you by January. This app will be a continuous pressure on whoever is in the government," said Kamal Haasan, and added that he will announce by when he will be touring Tamil Nadu"as Citizen K".
About his party, Kamal Haasan said, "Should I separately announce a party? I am waiting only because my foundation should be strong. The effort should continue even after me. I am discussing with experts on how to go about it."
"The immediate concern is to announce the party's name and when we might contest elections. I take six months to even prepare for a film. So I'm trying to take time and learn what's needed. You can't ask someone what the child's name is when they say they are pregnant," he said talking about the questions on his political party's name and launch.
Shedding more light on his political plunge, "First we have to get ready, and come qualified. So we are looking at the longer goal and taking time. You will have to give me time to come out with my political agenda. I will have to finish my films first. They are a business commitment. It cannot be done overnight. It cannot be done overnight. We have waited for long. I have waited for long. The reason why people want a change is reason why they will follow me. They are going to show me the reason. That is why I have said I will tour. I want to talk to people before deciding the party's name. It is not a marketable product but people's will. I want them to be partners in this initiative," added Kamal.
