Kannada directors are possessive about me: Sanjjanaa

Excerpts from an interview:
Any Telugu film in the pipeline?
I was offered the lead role in a female-centric film but I feel its too early for me to carry off such a role in Telugu. I am listening to scripts and in a couple of days I will be announcing my Tollywood projects. Right now, I dont want to sign any film that comes my way as the entire South industry is watching Telugu movies. In fact, my Kannada directors asked me why I was settling for second lead roles in Telugu, when I am playing lead roles in Sandalwood. I have done good films there and my Kannada directors are possessive about me.
Tell us about your Malayalam films...
Casanova is a great movie and Im paired with Mohan Lal sir. I play a salsa dancer and since I learned the dance while I was in college, it was easier for me. This big budget film will be shot abroad and director Roshan Andrews of Notebook fame is the director. I am also doing another film titled King and Commissioner with superstars Mammootty and Suresh Gopi in the lead. I play a cop in this flick.

How many Kannada films do you have?
I am doing three. Sagar is being produced by actress Malasri, in Narasimha, I share screen space with the legendary Ravi Chandran and in Ondu Kshanadalli, I am working with Tharun Chandra.
How different is Mollywood from Sandalwood?
Not much of a difference. The only difference is the work environment. Most of the Malayalam stars are serious while there is a lot of bonhomie on the Telugu and Kannada sets.
Work apart, whats your favorite pastime?
I am into yoga and fitness. I love swimming and horse-riding and when I get time, I go to Dubai for shopping. Earlier I used to ask my father for money, but now I am earning well and I always have a blast with my cousins in Dubai.
