Lakshmy Ramakrishnan has initiated legal proceedings against Vanitha Vijayakumar following their altercation over a Skype call arranged by a YouTube channel a few days ago. Lakshmy and Vanitha have been at loggerheads ever since the former made comments on the controversy of Vanitha's recent marriage to Peter Paul. The Skype interaction only worsened things as Vanitha lashed out at Lakshmy for interfering in her personal life and questioned her over it.

Lakshmy ended the conversation midway saying that Vanitha was being abusive.
Now, the actress-director has issued a press release in which she informs that she has sent a legal notice to Vanitha. "In the context of the verbal abuse of me over a Skype call, by Vanitha Vijayakumar, which was initiated by Ms Vanitha herself, through a YouTube channel and webcasted through the same channel, owned by M/s. Nian Media Pvt. Ltd, I have along with my husband adhered to legal proceedings by causing a Legal Demand Notice through our Advocates against her and another, notifying her about the liability under both Civil and Criminal Laws. Accordingly, we have sent the copy of the notice to concerned Inspector of Police, All Women's Police Station, Vadapalani & SRMC station, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vadapalani, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Tamil Nadu State Commission for Women (Mahila Ayog)," her statement read.
