Vijay is one of the most popular actors in Tamil cinema, and he does several welfare activities through his fan clubs. The hopeful actor has decided to honour top-ranking SSLC and HSC students in
Tamil Nadu across 234 constituencies. The news is made official through Vijay's fan club (Vijay Makkal Iyakkam) and the actor's meeting with the first three rankers of the SSLC and HSC exams in Tamil Nadu will happen on June 17 ahead of the actor's birthday, which falls on June 22.
Students will be meeting Vijay along with their parents on June 17. Vijay will be distributing a certificate of honour and a cash prize to the top three students in each of the 234 constituencies.
Instead of honouring students across districts, Vijay has opted to award students across 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu, and this has once again stirred up talk about the actor's political entry. It is worth mentioning that Vijay recently served food for free to needy people on May 28 on the occasion of World Hunger Day.
On the work front, Vijay is filming for
Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial debut, "Leo," and he plays a gangster in the action-packed film. 'Leo' is slated to have a grand pan-India release on October 19, 2023. and the film shooting is currently happening on a set erected in a film city in Chennai.
