Reportedly, Udhaya plays a cop in 'Maanadu', and he is sharing the screen space with Silambarasan for the first time. The post-production work of 'Maanadu' is heading smoothly, and the makers are planning to release the film in theaters first. The much-expected film might release in August during the Ayudha Poojai weekend.
Silambarasan plays as a Muslim youngster in 'Maanadu', and the director has reportedly fixed a social message in the film.
Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the leading lady, while SJ Suryah plays a cop.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music, and the film is produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the V House Productions.
