Madhavan reunites with Rocketry crew for a biopic on GD Naidu

In 2023, we had told you that Madhavan will be starring in a biopic on inventor GD Naidu. Now, the actor is all set to reunite with the team of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect for this yet-to-be-titled film helmed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar.
GD Naidu, who was a Coimbatore based inventor and engineer, is known as the Edison of India and credited with manufacturing the first electric motor in the country. Madhavan will also be producing the film with Varghese Moolan. Varghese tells us, “Maddy and I discuss lots of stories that he hears, but there was extra excitement on his face when he told me this film’s story.”
Madhavan will be teaming up with the same crew as Rocketry (based on the life of Nambi Narayanan), he informs. “It’s a tried and tested team. So, we are confident that we can pull it off.” The Indian schedule of the film will go on floors next week in Coimbatore, Naidu’s birthplace. “The movie has been under preproduction for more than a year now. Last year, we also shot some scenes internationally. It was difficult to keep it under wraps, but since we have already done similar shoots with Rocketry in six different countries, we were well versed in executing an international schedule,” reveals Varghese.
