Raghava Lawrence has transformed into one of the bankable heroes in Tamil, and his next release will be 'Rudhran', which is slated to release on April 14 on the occasion of the Tamil New Year. The promotions for the film are on and the trailer has increased the expectation for the film. However unfortunately,
Madras High Court has now issued an interim ban against Raghava Lawrence's 'Rudhran'.
The reason is, a popular production house has acquired the Hindi and other language dubbing rights of 'Rudhran'.It is said that the production company has paid 10 crore rupees to the makers of 'Rudhran' for the first phase, while the contract was signed for 12 crores 25 lakh rupees.
Therefore the makers of 'Rudhran' have abruptly canceled the dubbing rights contract with the production house, demanding an additional 4 crores 50 lakh rupees. So, the production house, which bought the dubbing rights was not convinced and said that if the film is released as planned, they will lose 10 crore rupees. Therefore, a case has been filed in the Madras High Court to ban the release of the film. The judge, who heard the case, has banned the release of the film 'Rudhran' till April 24.
With this, 'Rudhran' faces trouble ahead of the announced release date, and let's hope the makers take appropriate action to have a smooth release.
Directed by Karthiresan, 'Rudhran' features Raghava Lawrence and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles with Sarathkumar as the antagonist. Reported to be a family entertainer, the film has music scored by GV Prakash Kumar.
