Lenin Rajendran's Makaramanju, which plots the life of renowned artist Raja Ravi Varma, is all set to be dubbed in Tamil. The film starring Santhosh Sivan and Karthika Nair in the lead will go to Kollywood as Apsaras. Karthika, who debuted in Malayalam with the film, is all excited about the film being released in Kollywood at a time when one of her biggest releases directed by Bharathiraja is also round the corner.
'The film is purely for lovers of art and will not cater to the audience of commercial potboilers. Nevertheless, I'm glad that the distributors have decided to dub it in Tamil for the benefit of the Kollywood audience.'
The actress, who had many best debutant awards coming her way for her double role in the film, adds, 'I had luck in my stride to have played two characters, the mythological goddess Urvashi and the historical character Suganda Bai, right in my debut. I'm sure the film is going to be a treat for those who worship Ravi Varma's art and for those who respect legends in cinema like Lenin Sir and cameraman Madhu Ambat.'
