Mohan Babu in Suriya-Sudha film

Veteran Tollywood actor Mohan Babu will be seen in a crucial role in Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, which is being directed by Sudha Kongara. Though the actor was seen in last year’s Savithri bioppic Nadigaiyar Thilagam, in which he portrayed the legendary SV Ranga Rao, this will mark his proper return to Tamil films — after almost 40 years.
He last acted in Rajinikanth’s Annai Ore Aalayam (1979) and Kamal Haasan’s Guru (1980).The actor began shooting for the film last week. The shoot of the film, which is reportedly based on the life of aviation industry entrepreneur, GR Gopinath, is currently underway at the Chennai airport.
