Mohanlal opens up about his character in 'Jailer' for the first time

Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer' has a strong supporting cast with stars from across the industries in important roles. Director Nelson Dilipkumar kept the details about some of the supporting cast a secret and they were missing in the film's showcase. Mohanlal is one of the actors, who was missing in the 'Jailer' trailer aka showcase, and fans kept guessing about the role of the Malayalam actor in Rajinikanth's film.In the latest television interaction, Mohanlal has opened up about his role in 'Jailer', and said that it will be an interesting character in an interesting film. But the actor wants it to be a surprise till the film's release as he wishes to stun fans with his big screen appearance.
Apart from Mohanlal, leading actors from other industries like Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, and Sunil also play crucial roles in 'Jailer'. Jackie Shroff and Sunil are reportedly playing antagonists, while Shiva Rajkumar has confirmed that he plays a cameo role in the film. The action thriller also has Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley among others. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music, while the visuals are captured by Vijay Kartik Kannan.
'Jailer' has been certified U/A by CBFC with a runtime of 2 hours 49 minutes, and the film has cleared its deck to have a monstrous release on August 10. The reservations for the film are already open across locations, while the extensive reservation in the home state is to open soon.
