'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' logo released on Savitri's birth anniversary

The makers of Savitri biopic 'Mahanati', which is titled 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' in Tamil had been teasing fans about a special surprise to be revealed yesterday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of actress Savitri. The surprise is the logo of the film, released in the form of a video.
In the video, one can see a huge ornate wooden box standing in the middle of a room, with light shining on it. Later old dialogues from Savitri's films can be heard as the camera zooms onto the box. A woman comes and opens the box, revealing a starry night sky in the lid. "Some stories are meant to be epic," read some slides and the 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' logo is revealed in gold as the music reaches a crescendo. "Come be a part of history, 29 March, 2018," reads the concluding slide.
'Mahanati' will star Keerthy Suresh in the role of Savitri, while Dulquer Salmaan will essay Gemini Ganesan. It is also rumoured that Vijay Deverakonda will play the role of ANR and Shalini Pandey will play the role of Jamuna. Samantha also has a crucial role in the film, rumoured to be that of a journalist.
