Not in quarantine, says Kamal Haasan

Confusion prevailed among Kamal Haasan fans in the morning whether their screen idol Kamal Haasan was put under home quarantine or not. It all began after a Home quarantine sticker was pasted at his Alwarpet residence by the Chennai Corporation. The sticker was removed later.
Kamal Haasan has now sent out a statement to clarify on the situation. He wrote,” Based on the notice outside my house, news has spread saying that I have been quarantined.But most of you already know that I have not been living there for the past few years and the Makkal Needhi Maiam party office has been functioning from there. So, the news that I have been quarantined, is not true.
As a precautionary measure, I have taken undertaken social distancing as I requested the public too. I would again reemphasize all of us to undertake social distancing as a precautionary measure."
Interestingly, it was only recently that Kamal Haasan had offered to convert his house into a temporary hospital to treat coronavirus patients. Kamal Haasan’s daughter, actress Shruti Haasan too is in self-isolation as she had returned from London couple of weeks ago.
