Ever since the coronavirus outbreak, the big screen viewing experience has been halted and many film releases has been pushed. This has also urged a few films including
Ponmagal Vandhal
and
Penguin
to take the OTT route. While some have been appreciative of the welcome move, multiplex chains and theatre firms have expressed their disappointment. Producer
SR Prabhu, however, looks at this shift in a positive way.
It is time to start over instead of indulging in statement wars, he said. "OTT & Theatrical r different avenues. If at all someone to worry, it’s the non theatrical segment. Also film producers r the only source of content providers for theatres & these 2 are bound for life. So let’s try to survive this pandemic to start over instead of statement wars!" he tweeted.
