Sai Pallavi, who is basking in the success of her Tamil debut ‘Diya’, just turned 26 on Wednesday. Interestingly, the ‘Premam’ sensation celebrated her birthday on the sets of ‘Maari 2’ along with Dhanush and director Balaji Mohan. Apparently, the makers surprised Sai Pallavi and ‘Adhithangi’ Vinoth, who also celebrated his birthday yesterday.

Sharing the pictures on Twitter, Balaji Mohan wrote, “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to @Sai_Pallavi92 ! Pleasure having u on board #Maari2.Excited abt this role!”
Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, ‘Maari 2’ has Sai Pallavi as the female lead, while Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas is reported to be playing the main antagonist. The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Krishna and Robo Shankar in supporting roles.
Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is reuniting with Dhanush after a long time in ‘Maari 2’, which also has a song by maestro Ilaiyaraaja. The shooting of ‘Maari 2’ is expected to be wrapped up soon and the film is likely to release this year.
On the work front, Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play the leading lady in Suriya’s forthcoming ‘NGK’, which is being directed by Selvaraghavan. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film is slated to release on Diwali.
