Actor-choreographer Prabhudheva collaborated with AL Vijay for the horror-comedy ‘Devi’, which hit the screens back in 2016. The team has joined hands for the second time for a sequel titled '
Devi 2', which also has
Tamannaah
playing the female lead. The title poster of the film was revealed yesterday and looks like the film will hit the screen later this year.
In ‘Devi’, Tamannaah plays a simple village girl, who gets married to Prabhudheva. However, the spirit of an aspiring actress enters the body of Devi and attempts to accomplish her desire of becoming a big-shot actress.
The sequel has
Nandita Swetha and Kovai Sarala are in supporting roles, while RJ balaji, Sathish and Yogi Babu will be providing the comic relief. The team beagn shooting in Mauritius in September last year. Dimple Hayati, who shot to fame with the film, 'Gulf', will play one of the leading ladies in the Tamannaah-Prabhudheva-starrer.
