Prabhudheva-starrer ‘Lakshmi’ gets a release date

After the commercial success of the horror-comedy ‘Lakshmi’, Prabhudheva and AL Vijay are once again collaborating for the musical drama ‘Lakshmi’. According to reports, the makers have finally locked the release date of the film. Reportedly, the release date of ‘Lakshmi’ has now been approved by TFPC and the film would be hitting the screens on August 24.It must be noted that several Tamil films are releasing this month starting with the biggie ‘Vishwaroopam 2’.
Tipped to be a dance drama, ‘Lakshmi’ trailer, which was released by Dhanush, has gotten positive response from the audience. Reportedly, the film revolves around a young girl, who aspires to become a dancer. The film has passed the censor board and has been awarded with ‘U’ certificate.
Jointly produced by Trident Arts and Pramod Films, ‘Lakshmi’ also stars Aishwarya Rajesh in an important role. The film looks solid in terms of the technical crew comprising of cinematographer Nirav Shah and Sam CS.
Last seen in the silent-thriller ‘Mercury’, Prabhudheva is likely to team up with AL Vijay once again for ‘Devi 2’. The actor also has releases like ‘Charlie Chaplin 2’ and ‘Pon Manickavel’.
