Bhavani Shankar shared that sexual harassment is rampant in all work places, and the movie industry is no different. She urged the victims of sexual harassment to speak up. The actress stated that people have to stop blaming and shaming the victims and defer from asking questions like ‘why didn't you talk about this earlier’ and ‘why now?’

Shankar stressed that a woman being sexually assaulted has nothing to do with her profession.
“We need to support women when they talk about their experiences and listen to them, instead of blaming the victims,” she added.
