Says the music composer, 'The music is bubbly and youthful. With this album, we hope to set a benchmark in the new-generation style of music. As Atlee is a first-time director and is my age, we were able to bond well and bring together some nice tunes.' After composing for period subjects and commercial films, Raja Rani will see him taking up a 'young subject.' 'Yes, this is a genre that actually appeals to my age as the film's subject revolves around youngsters. We just wanted to freak out with the music.'
Ask Atlee about the music and he describes it as a 'cocktail of genres.' 'The seven tracks will showcase a lot of variety. While we have an international flavour, local sounds have also been infused into it. In fact, in one of the tracks, we've also used the sound from the old-style harmony box. From the very start, GV and I wanted to try out something new, so the recording sessions were like an exchange of ideas,' says the director.
The film is also using the roadblock strategy, which means that the trailer will be launched across 14 TV channels at the same time today.
